Top Honors for the Hawks
Head Coach Simon Cook and midfielder Erick Luna Ramirez earned top honors from the Coast Conference and the South Division. Cook was named the Coach of the Year and Luna Ramirez was named the Player of the Year.
EVC won the Coast title this past season and enter post-season play at 13-3-3 overall.
The Hawks, the No. 3 seed in the 3C2A Playoffs, reached as high as No. 1 in the State Power Point rankings for the second-straight year. EVC awaits the winner of Taft and City College of San Francisco for a second-round matchup on Saturday, November 22, at 7 p.m. at home.
Luna Ramirez has started all 19 games this season. Two of Luna Ramirez' four goals have proved to be game-winners.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for EVC staff, students, seniors and children under 12. Playoff games are on November 19, 22, 25, and November 29. The State Final Four for both men and women are December 5 and 7 at Saddleback College.
Both men's and women's soccer are heading to the 3C2A Playoffs, hosting matches to begin the postseason. The women, seeded No. 9, host the College of the Sequoias on Wednesday in the first round, while the men, seeded No. 3, will host a match on Saturday following a first-round bye.
